Hi and welcome! We are located in beautiful Alameda, California, just 20 minutes across the bay from San Francisco. Our mission is to help you make your home more ARTISTIC!
In our Studio, we teach decorative paint techniques to help you enhance your furniture, cabinets and walls. Additionally, we have a youth program consisting of summer camps and after-school art classes.
In our Boutique, we sell the supplies you need to help you create, including General Finishes, Royal Design Studio stencils, Artisan Enhancements products, Wood Icing™ and more. We also sell hand-painted furniture, and BEAUTIFUL ARTISAN-MADE ITEMS!
Lastly, we offer our beautiful studio as a venue for parties - birthday, bridal, team building, girls night out. You think of it, we'll help you host it!

Rachel Gingold
Rachel is an accomplished artist and mother of two girls, who has been painting for more than 40 years. While painting was always a passion, it became a vocation when she left her management career in the technology industry behind in 2002 to pursue art full time. Although she began faux finishing for herself, friends and family in the early 1990′s, as a natural extension of her art she expanded to murals and hand-painted furniture in 2002, and created her mural and decorative painting business, Moonline Arts. She also taught art classes to children in her daughters' school, and is passionate about art education for children of all ages.
In 2013, Rachel teamed up with her friend, glass artist JaYing Wang, and opened Artistic Home Studio & Boutique in their home of Alameda, CA - a retail store and art studio with a mission to help people tap into their own creativity, and help them make their homes artistic! Rachel has since taught furniture painting, decorative painting and canvas painting to many students in the San Francisco Bay Area, loving every minute of it! Artistic Home Studio & Boutique is a proud retailer of General Finishes products.
Rachel has an intuitive understanding of how color and paint can enhance a space in your living or working environment. She stays current on the latest products, tools and techniques as an active member of the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL). She enjoys working with clients to bring their vision to life, and looks forward to passing along her extensive knowledge of decorative and furniture painting through classes and workshops at The Artistic Home Studio and Boutique.

JaYing Wang
JaYing has been a mosaic artist since 1995 and an art teacher to children since 2002. She owned a popular art studio in Alameda called Children's Art Studio where pre-school children explored the world of creativity with their parents and school age kids took after-school art classes ranging from arts and crafts, Chinese brush painting, cartooning, fine arts painting to stop-motion film. She closed her art studio in 2008 to concentrate more on large mosaic mural commissions and to devote more time with her two daughters. She continued teaching after school art classes for Alameda Education Foundation, teaching at most of the elementary schools in Alameda. Four years later and with daughters older, JaYing was eager to pursue her love of art and share it with the public again. Her love of mosaics has evolved into a passion for glass arts in general. Having learned stained glass and glass fusing techniques in addition to her mosaic work, JaYing is excited to offer classes on these glass art disciplines at the Alameda Art Lab and share the the immense pleasure she gets by creating beautiful things to make one's home more ARTISTIC.
